What is SED? Social and Economic Development. This weekend (12/16 - 12/20) I flew down to Orlando, Florida to attend this conference. I had a great time at the sessions and with my favorite people. Juana Conrad, Bill Allmart, Bob Henderson and Rebecca Murphy all gave inspiring and interesting talks/presentations. Having Nathan and Gwen (who ever so kindly subsidized my trip), Lacey, Delara, Bushra, Carmen, Sami, Naseem, Nava, George, Javad, Aaron, Paul, and others around made it all the better. Especially when a few of us drove to Cape Canaveral at 4 am and managed to miss a rocket launch by 6 minutes ( read Delara's account here ). It's OK though, we got a personal tour from George ( who works for NASA ) of Kennedy Space Center.
