The Fugees are probably my favorite group of all time. I have listened to their album The Score countless times, and enjoyed every bit of it. They monopolized the formative years of my musical tastes. I was just getting into rap and hip-hop at the time and it was great to discover a more socially conscious crew with intelligent lyrics. The Fugees opened the door to me discovering underground hip-hop and groups like Atmosphere, Heiruspecs, Del, Styles of Beyond, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc..... The Fugees consisted of Wyclef, Lauryn Hill, and Pras. I was sad and disappointed when they broke up, but was somewhat consoled by the releases of Wyclef's solo efforts, especially The Carnival. Lauryn put out a great solo album too, however, Pras didn't fare so well. I had long ago given up any hope of ever hearing a third Fugees album, when a couple years ago I began to hear rumors of a reunion. I dismissed it as rumor until I heard that they performed together at Dave Chappelle's Block Party. And now, they have a new single out. I'm not sure if it is indicative of what is to come, but I am certainly looking forward to finding out. Check it out. Take it Easy Fugees
